Foxy Bingo Review

Has anyone else noticed how many foxes are roaming around in the suburbs these days, And now there's one winking out at me from Foxy Bingo, the bingo sister site to the casino-based getminted.com. Well, as this is such a fun bingo site, perhaps I'll have nicer feelings about the foxes on my street too. Foxy Bingo has been going since 2005, and is a big name now in the online bingo world. They have over 40 game rooms and you can apparently play for as little as 5p. The chat and community is rather excellent too.

The website

There's a pleasant feel to the design of Foxy Bingo and the layout has a crisp, almost bloggy style to it. Technologically, it's at the more basic end of the scale, but all in all that comes across as quite endearing rather than hindering gameplay in any way. The ease-of-use of their software platform could be easier, but you'll get the hang of it and the £10 sign-up bonus offers a good incentive to do so.

Foxy Radio

One impressive frill is that they have their own internet radio station, Foxy Radio, which actually has its own games that feed into the community chat areas, a really nice creative touch. There's also a Foxy Radio tombola every Thursday.

Foxy Prizes

They definitely read the papers over at Foxy Bingo: the homepage is currently advertising a prize especially designed to beat the credit crunch. If you come away with this one, they'll pay your bills for 6 months ' a good time to have some really long showers. This kind of prize shows a bit of thought and creativity and definitely makes things more interesting than just cash prizes all the time (although cash prizes are obviously very welcome any time!). There are also chances to win Argos vouchers, ipods and a trip on a specially laid on Foxy Bingo cruise to Bruges. These cruises can only help build up the excellent community at Foxy Bingo. Apparently a previous cruise even featured a marriage proposal'

Foxy Community

Foxy Bingo have really gone that extra mile to build a good community, with player profiles and celebrity appearances all adding to the experience.

Previous celebrity appearances have included Dean Gaffney (aka Robbie from Eastenders), Vicky from Shipwrecked and, 'especially for you', Jason Donovan. There is also a fascinating 'true life roomie stories' section, currently including a tale of two sisters who have moved apart but keep in touch via Foxy. It's a great story ' just goes to show, there's more to bingo than just the bingo.

Pros

Really great community ,Excellent range of prizes ,Well thought-through promotions ,Some very creative frills such as a radio station and specially laid on cruises

Cons

Software platform could be slightly easier to use

Overall

Foxy Bingo is a bingo site with bags of character. Yes it can be a teeny tiny bit rough round the edges at times, but in a way that only adds to its charm ' of which there is plenty.
